I studied film production, then spent years building the infrastructure behind animated films — managing render pipelines and scaling storage from terabytes to petabytes. That path led me from visual effects into cloud infrastructure and eventually into Site Reliability Engineering.

The stack evolved, the problems got cloudier, but the gig? Same as it ever was — build systems that let people do their best work without worrying about what’s underneath.
